I felt I spent more time cleaning than with shavings and sawdust. It is clean. But I also found it all over the yard and paddocks as it sticks to feet etc and blows. Could not say if it was more economical re source as some give it away and I was paying. If it is from an office just be sure there are no staples, I am not sure re carbon paper and horses. Jean
