We keep our four at a military stables in Texas, and have done so in
Georgia. The military vet requires yearly rabies vaccines on all dogs,
cats and equines.  I know of several horses that have bitten people, not
their owners, and when these people visited the emergency room, these
horses were put in quarantine. I think it was unnecessary, but that is
their rule.  I don't know what they would do if the horse had not been
vaccinated for rabies.  Better safe than sorry, even when we have our
own place I believe I'll vaccinate for rabies. Debby in TX
