I've used bungee cords to keep the lid on and even had a horse get those off. What I use now is a large Rubbermaid shed. The lid lifts up, then both doors open in front, which makes it real handy for me. When closed up, there is a place to put a lock on it, which I always use. Tor had already shown me that he was quite capable of getting into it if not locked, (I was there watching him do it). These guys are way too clever, and even more determined when it comes to food. : )
