Already having a super time, and it's only just begun. My only regret is not bringing my Fjords! The atmosphere is very friendly, and the competition is all in fun. Tommes & Rafael are definitely hitting the road next year! Last night was an open class: various Fjords in Western, English or driving attire going around cones and barrels. It was so neat to see all the different styles, as well as the consistent good nature of the horses! Not one major spook, a frequent occurence at other horse shows. I've never seen this many Fjords in my life! It was also a treat to see Abby Bauer's red dun Hakar, and a beautiful white who was ground driven. I met list members Betsy Bauer and her daughter Abby (super rider, by the way!), Gail, Lori (Cats of Oz), and several other great folks whose names elude me (funny how it's easier to remember the name of the horse before the person!). Today is the parade, then other events including vaulting which I am really looking forward to. Also the Icelandic events. More updates tonight! Brigid
