This message is from: "Jon A. Ofjord" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hello list: Just got back from the Blue Earth show early today. Most folks are still down there packing up and heading home. I'm sure you will hear many "How Hot" stories from the rest of the folks attending the show.
I see Steve McIlree and Mark McGinley already posted to the list directly from Blue Earth. Way to go, Techno-Boys! It was great to put some new faces to email addresses: Hi Susan, Janne and Linda! And to see all the old friends from previous years. We didn't bring any horses to the show this year, so I got to watch a lot of the goings-on. It was SO HOT, that at one time there were four of us lined up in the shade of a telephone pole! The horses all had fans on them, but their owners went without. The heat in the barn was stifling. Jon & I had to completely change our attire to accomodate the heat, which prompted a quick trip to Walmart (Yes, that's right) to buy more shorts and tank tops. Being from the northern part of Minnesota, we don't wear a lot of those types of clothes. Judge Wayne Hipsley did a fantastic and professional job as always, not only at the clinic on Monday, but during the show also. How he could hold up under the ninety degree plus heat and humidity dressed in shirt, jacket, tie and hat was impressive. The horses and competitors managed remarkably too. A few people wisely did scratch in some classes due to the heat to let their horses have a breather. Just got done catching up on all the email the accululated while we were away. Great to be back home in cooler northern MN where the temp is in the balmy mid-eighties with a wonderful breeze. Mary Ofjord North Coast Fjords
