I agree that the Arabs get bad press. I think a lot of people just don't
know how to deal with a highly intelligent, sensitive hot-blood horse. I
have a friend who bred Arabs for over thirty years, and ever saw an "insane"
one on her place, stallions included. I also noticed several "insane" ones
that came into her hands that soon became quite sane - proof that their
handling is the root of most problems people have with Arabians. She did
everything with her horses, cow-penning, cutting, etc., and her halter
horses were always spirited but not freaked out at all. My daughter also has
Arabians, and not one is insane. She taught them to drive in a very short
time, and trots all over the countryside with no problems.
