Hi Tami, Congratulations on your new horse. It will be hard to wait to ride
her I am sure. They are a horse like any other with size differences. One
thing, many do not have withers so that depends on your girl. Heads vary in
size as the drafty ones use horse and up, while the lighter take a horse or
smaller. I would see no difference between warmbloods and Fjords except
size. It takes long for a warmblood to mature as it does also for fjords.
In fact, I think a fjord is a warmblood?????????? My 16.2 Holsteiner eats
the same ration as my 13.2 Fjord. No horse has to drive and they "won't
miss it." If you feel you have to prove to the dressage crowd that small is
better, show them pics of Wez, Ann Applebys horse who is at the top in
dressage now and her others are moving up.
