This message is from: "Jean Gayle" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Anneli, Thank you for your response. I use the old tack references as a way to date my old bits. The last time I was in Germany I stayed with friends in their castle Babenhausen. In their museum was an old book dating to the 1500s. They also had ancient tack but of course no sale. I do have a book by a monk done in the 80s I believe ( it is under piles of books) about bits etc from Luristan. So there is also one about the horse in Shakeperian times that I would like to find. It is also fairly recent. Primarily, I collect bits, as I have ceased to buy other tack unless absolutely old, old, old.
