I also know of an study of three Mongolian texts (with translations of the texts): Serruys, Henry. 1974. Kumiss cermonies and horse races. Three Mongoilan texts. Otto Harassowitz. Wiesbaden. Haven't red it yet, though. Hoped this helped a little.
