Unfortunately, it's not something that can be learned
over the internet - someone really needs to show you
how to do it in order for you to be safe - and the
horse as well.  I believe the technique is shown on
one of the first Wil Howe tapes - maybe his tape on
groundwork and roundpenning.  I'll check it out, and
let you know.  Will be gone next week - so will get to
it when I get back.

Another way to learn 'how to hobble' is to simply
attend one of Wil's clinics - you can go as a
spectator, that's how I learned it.  I learn best by
seeing something done a few times.  I'm sure other
clinicians teach hobbling, it's just that Wil is the
only one I'm familiar with.
