Hi Tammy,

My big (15-2hh) gelding didn't finish growing until he was 7 or later. He
has a pretty big head, but it is sized for his body. At one period in his
life his head suddenly grew and looked much too large for his body and I
was worried that I was going to have this funny looking bigheaded Fjord! He
takes an x-large halter, and Oversize (warmblood) bridle, except that the
cheekpieces in the oversize are almost too long. He needs a bigger
browband and longer throatlatch, mainly.

I think that geldings may mature more slowly than mares. But don't be
suprized if they both keep growing till they are 7 or even 8!

Jean in Fairbanks, Alaska, where it rains, snows, mixed rain/snow and fog.
Yuucky weather, driving is hazardous!
