Now this is also a possibility with this particular mare here...she does not have Cushings, but is the one who receives more than a handful of grain, compared to the others. She is older and has had the most medical-related problems. She is on thyroid meds. and has low progesterone also (trouble conceiving and keeping a pregnancy).
