Hello everyone,
I'm new to the list. For the last couple of weeks, it has been fun reading
about the various topics that interest people. You all appear to be a great
resource for knowledge and wisdom. While I'm new to the list, I'm not so new
to the joys of fjording. We got our first introduction to Fjords from Phil
Prichard when he was in NY state. We bought one of the mares he imported from
Norway, MVF Solfuksa, (it was a 2 for one deal:>)) and a year later bought two
mares from Judy Wingerter, Lin and Hauglinda. We also leased her white dun
stallion, Modellen for several years. We have had lots of fun having babies
and learning to ride and drive.Perhaps you have seen some of our pictures and
articles in the Fjord Herald. There is a picture of my nephew snow tubing
behind Lin at my daughter's birthday party in one issue. In another, you will
see the first place winning parade group for the 2000 New York State fair. It
was an all Fjord Horse team, five of our Fjords and five 4-H riders!

Out of the many babies we've had, we have one white dun filly left for sale.
She was born in spring of 1999. Her dam is Lin, an imported white dun and her
sire is Modellen. Her name is FC Mona. She has been handled alot. She loads and
stands without restraint for grooming and mane trims. She stands well for the
farrier and dentist. She leads and is very bright. We are asking $5000.

We also have a young stallion for sale, FC Molson. His father was Modellen and
his mother is MVF Solfuksa. He is very kind and gentle. He loads, has had
round pen training, lunges and leads very well. He has good manners. We keep
him with Lin and three older geldings who keep him humble. He is brown dun
with zebra markings on his legs. Lin is expecting his first foal
mid-April.We're asking $7,500.

We also have Molson's full sister, FC Delfinia for sale. She is four this
spring. She has had training under saddle and was a real delight for the
trainer. Delfinia was a sane and willing student. You could see her stop and
think about what she was being asked, and then do it. Her favorite reward is
scratching or brushing her neck. The trainer took her out on trails and found
her just as sane and sensible. Delfinia is a small fjord, about 13-3hh. She
has a slim athletic build. With more experience she would make a very nice
child's or lady's riding/driving horse. Asking $4,500.

All three youngsters are registered and their pedigrees can be found on the
NFH Registry website. If anyone is interested or would like more info, s/he
can call or email me. Like many of you, I love talking about our Fjords!
