Lots of cars, large trucks and trucks with trailers go by our place so all
the horses are used to traffic noises. None of them are bothered by lawn
mowers, farm equipment, cows, dogs, cats or children.
Evan (7/22/02)Evan Erlend # pending (MVF Erlend/Reterra Emma), is 11 hh,
registered as brown dun, very light brown, thought he might be gray, can't
tell because he still has a lot of his baby hair. Stands well when tied,
wormed, clipped, groomed, for vet and farrier. Started with TTEAM, leads
well, loads well and travels very good in the trailer. Free lunges in round
pen, over ground poles, has beautiful trot. He is very much like his Mother
when it comes to be caught. He will come for food or will let you catch him
if he is in the stall. The moment you have his halter on, he is well
behaved. Got his first full bath this week, moved around some, but well
behaved for 8 months.
Solar (6/1/02) Solar Erlend # pending (MVF Erlend/Bergdalen Synnove) is 11.1
hh, very light brown. Stands well when tied, wormed, clipped, groomed, for
vet and farrier. Started with TTEAM, leads well, loads well and travels
very good in the trailer. He is very friendly, comes when called, and loves
attention. Free lunges in round pen, over ground poles, has nice trot. He
is the most loving, friendly and well behaved colt I have every seen. Got
his first bath this week, stood quietly and behaved very well.
Siggy (5/7/01) Siegfried (Siggy) SSS-O-1459-S (Karibu/Bergdalen Synnove)is
13 hh, very light brown, stands well when tied, wormed, clipped, groomed,
for vet and farrier. Started with TTEAM, leads well (I use the TTEAM wand
because I want him to be a well behaved Stallion) , loads well and travels
very good in the trailer. He is very friendly, comes when called, and loves
attention. Free lunges in round pen, over ground poles. Started
long-lining with a sursingle and saddle. No riding. Have set my 1 1/2 year
old granddaughter on him and walked him around, he does not care. Got his
first bath of the year this week. Walked around some, but was very quiet
and well behaved.
Elise (4/30/01) SSS-O-1949-M (Karibu/Reterra Emma)is 13.1 hh, stands well
when tied, wormed, clipped, groomed, for vet and farrier. Started with
TTEAM, leads well, loads well and travels very good in the trailer. She is
very friendly, comes when called, and loves attention. Free lunges in round
pen, over ground poles. Started long-lining with a sursingle and saddle, no
riding. Have set my 1 1/2 year old granddaughter on her and walked her
around, she does not care.
MARES
Emma and Sunny were in foal to Karibu when I purchased them in Oct 2000 and
I have the videos her previous owners filmed for me. I do not have a
cart/wagon, but the mares are trained to drive and the video shows this.
They have been to parades with previous owners and with me, daytime and
nighttime. I long-line them to keep them trained for driving. They can be
ridden, but are green under saddle. Their job before I purchased them was
to be brood mares.
Emma (6/8/94) Reterra Emma RET-H-806-M (Hamar/Kristi)is 13.3 hh and has had
five foals, not bred for 2003, open for 2004. Her 2002 foal was by AI, the
rest were live coverage. Emma is the more drafty body type, 13.3 hh. Emma
will come for food and can be caught if you have food. Stands well for
clipping, grooming, vet and farrier, loads and trailers well. She is green
under saddle, but willing and moves forward well. My 5 year old
granddaughter rides her in the round pen.
Sunny (5/21/95) Bergdalen Synnove (Sunny) VE-I-988-M (Baldur's
Harold/Reterra Bitte) is 13.1 hh and has had three foals, not bred for 2003,
open for 2004. Her 2002 foal was by AI, the rest were live coverage. Sunny
is a lighter body type, 13.1 hh, very friendly, comes when called and loves
attention. Stands well for clipping, grooming, vet and farrier, loads and
trailers well. Sunny is currently being used in a therapeutic riding
program. My 5 year old granddaughter rides her in the round pen and leads
Sunny so her 1 1/2 year old sister can ride in round pen.
