We are planning on going to the sale. We would like to get the appropriate
equipment to enable Hugin to help haul logs out of our small wooded part of
our property. The goal would be to drag the logs up by the barn for easy
access to cutting them up. We are essentially clueless in the area of horse
logging. All we know is we have a great Fjord who likes to please us, six
acres of woods with some large trees down (wind storm), and two wood burning
stoves - one at home and one at the beach. Would appreciate any advice on
what we should be looking for and how or where to start the training
process. He has had a lot of ground driving and is trained to ride. Haven't
found anything yet that he finds it necessary to get excited about except
food. Thanks to the list, my husband and I have gee and haw down due to
someone who suggested "Gee you're right".

Linda and Harry the hopeful horse logger.
