Hi
I've been using a non-slip pad. It is just a black liner that can be placed
on a regular pad. It helps quite a bit and does not affect the fit of the
saddle.
Also, I've used Mattes pads...they work very well, but are a bit pricey.
I was suggested one time to check the fit of the girth. Some girths seem
like they prevent it, and others let the saddle slip upward.
Good luck!

 Hi everyone,
I'm a newcomer to the Fjord world and I think I'm getting hooked...:)
I need some information on saddle fit.. I have a wide tree dressage saddle
and
hoped it would fit my new Fjord mare( my very first Fjord!:) ) I put it on
and
it looked like it sat just perfect and I was so pleased...However when I
lunged her in it it rode way up on her neck. Is there any answer to this
problem other than a new saddle???? Was wondering about special pads? She
doesn't have much for withers... but many Fjords don't from what I
understand.
Would appreciate any suggestions you might offer...Thanks so much.

Beth
