The numbers under the details for each judge are the show # or "Back # not a score. The horses are not "Scored" but are rather "Placed" as 1st, 2nd, 3rd up to 6th place. So you read the chart from left to right to see which horse was placed first by each judge. The move down to see which horse was placed 2nd by each of the 3 judges.

Does this make more sense?

Mike, I can not understand the wild swings in judging for the same horse.
Example:
Detail Scoring

Show #125 - 7 NFHR 07 4 & Over Stallions
Rank Jim Havelhurst Brian Jensen Karen Cabic
1 40 33 33
2 11 99 40
3 33 81 3
4 81 40 99
5 3 10 10
6 99 11 62

Place Back# Horse Name
1 33 PRYDARSON
2 40 WH STONE
3 99 SMEDSMO
4 81 KASTANJEGARDENS FERNANDO
5 3 LFF ULEND
5 11 WW REIDAR

Question... Prydarson received a 40, a 33, and a 33. are these numbers added
together for an aggregate score...which doesn't make sense...averaging the
numbers doesn't make sense. Or, is the winning entry the one with the least
score swing

Question...WH STONE gets and 11 from Havelhurst, a 99 from Brian Jensen, and
a 40 from Karen. Why the wild swings from a 11 to a 99 to a 40. How does
this figure to a 2nd place?

Then in 6th place Havelhurst gives a 99, Jensen gives only an 11, and Karen
gives a 62

Are these three judges looking at the same horse at the same time?

I need some help on this one.

Fred

For the Halter classes there were 3 judges.

Each judge placed the class the way they saw it. That is what you
see in the "Detail Scoring" section.

So if you look at the details under say Jim Havelhurst - you will see
how Jim placed the class. You see how Brian Jensen placed it under
his name & then how Karen Cabic placed it under her name.

All of these placings were then entered in to the show secretary's
computer program and the program does its thing & figures out which
horse places which place & prints it out for her.
