Hello,
Thought I'd share an interesting experience I had with my fjord mare, Lizbet.
Yesterday our equine dentist was at our barn and she had her boxer dog with
her.
The dog went into the paddock with Liz . Liz didn't pay much
attention...However when the dog started chasing our mini mare,Velvet, Liz
took in the situation, lowered her head and charged!!! The dog managed to
escape from the paddock just in time. We are sure that Liz was protecting our
mini. It kind of surprised us because usually nothing bothers her and she is
not at all aggressive . I think Liz may have surprised herself!!! She seemed
to prance and dance afterwards and look to see if we had seen her.. as if to
say " Did you see what I did?? Wasn't I great?" She IS great and I was proud
of her!! Especially since Velvet can be downright hateful to Liz, and Liz
takes it from her. Fabulous Fjords!!!
Beth
