This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Dear Pat, I'm new to Fjords so thanks for the reminder. Our 2 geldings Alf & Val came home to NJ in Sept.;one day in early Oct. I noticed that Alf seemed damp by his chest even though he was standing there munching his hay and hadn't been worked in any fashion.Being the over cautious nurse and new horse mom I took his vitals and found his temp was 103.7! Called the vet and he was diagnosed and successfully treated for erlichia; but that was quite a scare! I'm blessed that the farm where we board is 1 1/2 miles from home so I can be over there 3to4 times a day. On the xango;I also have arthritis; so I punched in mangosteen on google and have ordered mine from Mike's; 114.95 for a case of 4 which includes shipping and no tax. Looking forward to trying it to see if it makes a difference. Good luck Susan 15 degrees in Long Valley with alot of wind; the furry boys seem to love it though! -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: fjordhorse@angus.mystery.com Sent: Tue, 16 Jan 2007 8:02 PM Subject: Xango and a reminder Fjord horse wise

XANGO PAT!!!! > Pat H writes: OK...........must of missed a post somewhere - WHERE do I find this great stuff cause I could sure use it !! I was recently reminded of something about our Fjords that those new to the breed ought to know and those with them should remember. They do not show illness like other breeds. This is a major fact - big time. I can tell many many stories of Fjords that do not exhibit the extensive symptoms of illness until they are very far along sick. They will continue to eat, and sometimes the slightest of difference is only noted IF you know your individual horse and his normal habits really well. They just take pain and discomfort without the normal signs we see in other breeds. This has probably been discussed before - but as a reminder with the really bad weather out west, the odd winter of ups and downs here in the Midwest and east. Now,......how do I get my hands on some of that XANGO Pat H The FjordHorse List archives can be found at: http://tinyurl.com/rcepw ________________________________________________________________________ Check out the new AOL.
