One of the neatest portable corral ideas I ever saw was made of those nylon
web ratchet-style tie-downs, customized with extra long lengths of web. They
just looped them around 4 or 5 trees that made a decent size corral, leaving
a gap between two of the trees, hooked the ends around the tree and back to
itself and tightened them up at whatever level was needed. Then used shorter
ones for the "gate" gap. The guy who had it used two strands and it seemed to
work like a charm. Did not leave any damage on the trees either.
