Hi Rosemary,
Thank you for taking time to share your story about your sweet filly. I love all these positive anecdotes. I love this list. Thank you everybody for contributing such valuable info and nice thoughts. There are no fjord folks near me but I feel like I have fjord friends all over the US now. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Hi List,

I wanted to share an experience from this past Saturday. I have had quite a
few guests come visit my girl. Each and every person who sees her, thinks
she is very beautiful, and very friendly. When someone new arrives, she
trots in to the barn to see who is there and then greets them with a whinny.

I had two friends come at the same time, both with children, ages 14 and uh a 5 year old boy, who was sweet for the first 5 minutes. The adult with the 5 year old allowed him to go wherever he wanted, (running at all times, she
also brought her 6 month old yapping terrier puppy. I always try to be
hospitable, but keep things in order so no one gets hurt. The 5 year old,
ignored my corrections, continued to run circles around my filly in the barn and out of the barn, while the dog barked and barked The 14 year old girl
bless her heart was smitten with Farra, was hugging and brushing her, all
while the dog was shrieking, and the child was running around the barn. He
was also playing kick ball with my yellow labs so they were running around
outside the barn chasing the ball. LOTS of noisy and moving stimulation!

I almost fell over when the boy's mother in an attempt to get him to stop
running told him to go brush her legs. She then boasted how she always has
him brush her horses legs because she does not want to bend over to do it!
Her horses are over 20. The boy then proceeded to squat down and brush her
legs, all while the dog is shrieking. I watched my filly for any signs of
flight, she was not tied, nor did I have a halter on her because I believed
the visit was going to be short and sweet and not chaotic. My Filly seemed
to know , she was focused on the boy, her eyes were soft, ears were
attentive she did not move a muscle. She took it all in stride. I was very
proud of my filly.

It was pretty cute, the little girl was so in love with Farra, I could not
help but watch and smile as she bestowed her hugs and kisses. This little
mare surprises me every day with something new.
