Yes, I think I remember seeing on Easycare's website that the bungee system can be used on epics also but I would confirm that with Easycare - Their site has quite a few videos regarding boot application, replacement parts etc. that are helpful. The bungee system is designed to be adjusted before the boot is applied to the hoof. You want the bungee in the tightest position that will still allow you to apply the boot. Easycare suggests that you should not be able to slide a flat screwdriver or hoofpick between the hoof and the front of the boot. I have been able to achieve this close fit - the sides will sometimes have a tad bit more space but I have never had any rocks or gravel get in the boots. I have had no problems with rubbing. There are 3 different positions and they are very easy to change with a screwdriver. Three of my fjords wear size 2 boots. However, Ypke wears it in the smallest position, Tally needs the middle position, and Torlend uses the biggest position. I only use boots on the front feet and their back feet are bare! No, I do not have to keep track of which boot goes on which foot, both front feet measure nearly the same on each individual horse. Right after a trim I might move the boot into 1 smaller setting and then change again as needed. I have 4 pairs of Bares so that 4 horses can go on rides at the same time. My farrier also likes the bares because they are made to flex with the hoof and the inside of the boot is smooth with no prongs, etc. Marcia Pace This message is from: "Lola Lahr" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi Marcia! I have been very interested in the Bares. My boot dealer uses them on his horse but doesn't seem too thrilled about selling them to me. He likes the variety of adjustemnts on the "up" buckles, but I am finding it to be pretty frustrating. Do you have to keep track of which boot goes on which foot, or is the adjustment of the bungee fairly "neutral" so that you don't have to keep track? I think I will give them a try.
