Hi all, I have been lurking around the list for the last month or so and have
enjoyed the conversations and the information that you have sent.
My daughter and I went to the Kentucky Derby this past May and got to tour
horse farms and other fantastic sites! One of those sites was the Horse Park.
We had a tour guide who took us to the draft horse barn and when he reached the
Fjords, he asked our group if anyone knew how to pronounce their name because
he couldn't!! I was totally surprised that someone who was giving a tour didn't
know enough about horses to give the tour. Some of the people in our group knew
I had a Fjord and asked that I provide some info on them. Well, helloooooo,
anytime I can brag about a Fjord transforms me into a verbose champion of the
breed. (Put the tour guide to shame too!) After that, my daughter and I snuck
away from the group and did our own thing, he he.
