Hello, I think there are a lot of good tools for mane trimming out there, but one that we have found to be especially handy is the Fiskars 9.5" Shop Shear that can be found in the tool section (with the tin snips) of home improvement stores such as The Home Depot or Lowes . It has a super hard titanium-nitride coating over a finely serrated edge that helps keep them sharp trim after trim. The serrated edge helps to keep the hairs from escaping the cutting edge.
