Laurie......ok, you can stop whining and just honker down and enjoy
winter.....from inside!!

Personally, I do not feel any guilt this time of year. Fjords are just fine
outside.....if healthy, their coats are nice a fluffy, they have enough to eat
to generate warmth, and, out of the wind. Hasse and Lena are out all the
time. Sven comes in only because he does not hold weight like he did as a
youngster and I want to be sure he is getting good hay. Hasse and Lena are
little pigs and push him away, nicely of course, so they get the good stuff.
He is such a sweetie he just accepts the left overs.

Blizzard type winds.....Hasse and Lena come in.

I take a mental and physcial break from my horse life from November to
February. I need a break.......and with the weather so bitter cold I don't
want to ride.

Come Feb I am thinking spring, the birds are singing, the days are longer and
there are usually a few warm days to get me back out in the barn to at least
take inventory of what I need for the new year and clean some tack.

March and April are the wosrt months for me.....I am wanting to ride/drive and
hang with the horses but often the weather is damp and windy......and I am
REALLY tired of winter by then!!!

Enjoy a hot chocolate......of course your older fellow and the mini fussed
when Oz left......that's how they say "good bye, we will miss you!!!" Ignore
it!

Cheers......Linda in WI
