This message is from: pedfjo...@aol.com Another great set of posts Brian and Beth.
To answer your question Beth.....I have not seen a white dun with a random white marking. I have seen an NFHR registered yellow dun with a white blaze. No problem Beth, mixing up Ruths statements with mine. If anyone reading my mis-spelled, off the tounge, cheek and ( other parts unmentionable ) posts and Ruthies articulate well thought out passionate ones, then yeah for me ! ( ducking from Ruth ) * my rescue mare arrived yesterday. The gelding ( her full brother ) Sander, was donated to the National Ability Center and for the first time in their lives, they were separated. At ages 17 and 19, as you can imagine.....there were some noisy hours as the NAC slowly pried them apart, pairing them up with other Fjord buddies. The mare, Stellalite, is doing great ! She leads ( sort of ) and has already learned not to run me down just because a gate or door is opened in front of her. ; / Although totally without any training since a weanling, she is a kind mare with a soft ( VERY amber Ruthie ! ) eye, and enjoyed being fussed over and even had some full head hugs last night. She just sigh's and relax's with petting. First project will be her feet, yikes, but first I need to teach her to pick them UP without killing the farrier. Jean Ernest, who owns their full sister, Anvil's Adel, also a yellow dun cant believe that Stellalite's eyes could be any more beautiful amber colored than her beautiful girl. Pics later today for anyone wanting to see my project mare. We will see Jean.
