hi, thanks for the reply. This weekend I will be going to the local SPCA and check for a microchip and will probably be sending in a DNA test to the Fjord registry if no chip is found. The brand is just the numbers 506 on the left side of her neck- so its not like I can call the brand inspector on that one. I have been crusing through PMU sites trying to see if the mares are branded, but no luck so far. Wow. The brand on her neck might show that she as, at one time used on a PMU farm. Her age is about right as well, and I ave seen Fjords with brands come from that industry. You can try to research he brand, but its going to make you pull your hair out, just FYI. you will need to include Canada in the search ) Was the auction able to give you any information on the consigner ? I would tart there. Sometimes a nice clerk will call the consigning party for you nd ask they contact you, but they are under no obligation to do so. I was ble to help a couple of people find out about their Fjords past history, so f you write me in private, I will see what I can dig up. Either way, it ounds like you scored big time getting this girl thats trained already. Send e a picture of her brand and I can look around for you.
