While these changes are aimed primarily at improving animal welfare in the commercial retail dog industry, they will also impact hobby breeders and breeders of many other species. USDA has asked for comments in developing their rules; it is critically important that you read the proposal carefully and comment on it. NAIA is currently outlining its concerns in a comment letter to the USDA.
