just download flex 2's bree beta and get playing! its very similiar to flex 1.5 in general (more strict as is to be expected) but you would be kiling two birds with one stone. if you are adament to use flex 1.5 check this out http://www.darronschall.com/weblog/archives/000182.cfm
download the trial for flex 1.5, but instead of deploying to the webserver, compile using the commandline compiler.
