hello,
this technote is stupid ... what a mess! ... dumb stupid!

here:

http://www.zarate.tv/articulos/shared_fonts/index.php <- in spanish
http://tinyurl.com/fufs4 <- english translation using babelfish

+ there:
http://chattyfig.figleaf.com/pipermail/flashcoders/2005-November/ 153927.html

FYI:
I am using Dynamic Runtime Shared Fonts and this has been working fine on a 100 files++ project ... actually, it is brilliant: I can add a new MyFont.swf at runtime and the main swf will display CORRECTLY that font (even when not present on the system and WITHOUT (that's where the logic comes in) linking the asset in both SWFs ...) ... so for me, this is the first Big Blast ... as Macromedia cannot handle such ....

then, Zinc Projector : they say in the troubleshooting that one should never develop a Zinc project with runtime shared fonts ... want to know ???
It WORKS too ... :-))

Zarate has found some amazing solution for me ... clever, logical and NOT counterproductive as the official one...

plus: all these technotes that say *This is not possible* is something I was getting fed up with... This is not possible when you look at the official path ... but it is always possible somewhere else .... ;)

Cedric

Here is the link to Macromedia's TechNote regarding
Shared Font Libraries. They spell it out a little more
eloquently than I did.

P.S. It was taken from the www.sharedfonts.com links
page

P.P.S. No I have no affiliation with sharedfonts.com
in fact I hadn't even heard of it till today when I
recieved the latest list. Ivan will you give me some
advice now?
