I'm one of those. A port of Red5 to C# is a must, but there's no way I'd even consider starting the project until Red5 matures to at least 0.6, though tbh, I'm likely to wait til 0.9 - 1rc1. Red5 is being developed at such a staggering pace, that porting to C# at this stage would be pointless and just create more work in the long run.
