Can I just mention that I was totally disgusted that the installer now refuses to install on my secondary laptop, due to it being below the minimum spec.

The install size has indeed increased. That's because you're no longer just installing Flash but a whole bunch of .... (use your imagination) that is needed for integrating with other Adobe products. And yes, it takes forever to install (at least it did here). I had to uninstall a CS3 suite from my laptop which took hours (seriously).
