Is that information still current? I was under the impression that much of that was dropped from release players (can the Flash Player make a Direct3D/OpenGL surface from within a browser plugin?).

The post also says that content should be specifically designed for GPU if you set wmode to GPU, but doesn't really say very much more, which is the important part. Exactly what considerations should we take when designing for GPU compositing?
