Yes, but in this instance, he wants to know when the Flash movie loses
focus - hence my point about listening to the events on the stage - a
button or other event dispatcher may lose focus at any time, but the

It is a special event. It is one of the few broadcast events. The manual is quite clear on this. It is not dispatched for focus issues. That's the FocusEvent class. This is a plain Event. I refer to the manual for all the details about this event.

But you do have a point, it's not important. But I was under the impression that you had already answered the question well enough for the original poster.
