Hi All, This news has created some panic (which might not be required) in the flash community and if you read most of blogs/news, most of them states that "ADOBE essentially admitting defeat to rival Apple Inc in a long-running battle over Web standards" . I believe someone from ADOBE should come out and clear the air. And also tell the dev community about the adobe's perspective on this announcement.
If you go through the forums/blogs, developers do have some questions in common. 1. Every day we read in the newspapers that Android market is growing. And Android does support flash player then what is the need ceasing the development on mobile browser flash. (I have seen people not buying the iOS because these does not support flash) 2. When whole of the world is buying IPADS, Samsung Tablets. Why would clients like to develop a website in flash. i.e. what is the future of the desktop version of flash player. 3. Is there any possibility that other parties will port the flash player.(as mentioned in the one of previous emails) 4. Will android OS next versions support flash player. Maybe there's a way to stop html/JS animations in your browsers w/o turning JS off? Blacklist content from location X?
