OK, good feedback. I think it is still worth it to serve the framework because
now it's present at any property. Your widget is smaller overall because of it
I'd hope. But maybe we can find a way to host a version for folks.

Matt and All,

I just wanted to add my 2 cents on Doug's question of having a centralized
version of the framework hosted by Adobe. We use RSL caching on our widget app
which is now getting served up on 3rd party websites. It just got picked up by
forbes.com <http://forbes.com> and all of a sudden we saw a drastic increase
in bandwidth to serve up the swz file. Now I'm starting to question the use of
framework caching on this...

Would be nice if Adobe served up...

I have a live project that uses the framework RSLs. The one issue that I
'believe' might be related is that I am getting a delay on start up of the swf.
I hope to get the time to investigate this in the next couple weeks and will
report back here if I can confirm the delay is from having the framework as an
RSL.

Nope - we looked the issues mentioned here, and decided to do it.
IMHO it should be the default way of deploying public Flex applications - the
more people with the framework in the cache the better for all of us.
