Jean-Luc, How about if you initialize the DataGrid’s
visible property to false until the data is loaded, and write a handler for the
complete event of the URLLoader class that sets the DataGrid’s visible
property to true when all the data is loaded? Would that work? Docs on the
complete event: http://livedocs.macromedia.com/labs/1/flex/langref/flash/net/URLLoader.html#event:complete Jim From: Hi there, I'm trying to show a component on stage only when its
dataProvider has finished populating the component. Let's take for exemple a datagrid with an itemRenderer. How
would i set my datagrid property to visible only when all data from its
dataProvider has been loaded and its itemRenderers have been layed out ? None of the events avalaible are made for that. Render Event
would be the closest, but it's not made for that. Any ideas ? Best, Jean-Luc. -- Flexcoders Mailing List FAQ: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/flexcoders/files/flexcodersFAQ.txt Search Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexcoders%40yahoogroups.com
