hi guys, I am trying to create a POS (point of sale) application which would be deployed at one system only. The back end logic (in nascent stage) is written in java/spring/hibernate, but I want my GUI to be in FLEX/AIR. So far my understanding is FLEX cannot communicate with java without use of some web server. Since a POS appliance is very low ended I do not wish to use any server. Is there any way I can make FLEX communicate with POJO. I am very new to flex, so it would be helpful if you could provide some examples too.
