Tim, That is correct. However, since resetting the database fixed his problem (at least temporarily), then the old database was broken. By using my utility, he can possibly prevent the problem from re-occurring. On the other hand, if the problem is in a setting that SDRDataTransfer considers "safe" to transfer, using my utility to transfer his custom settings will re-introduce the problem also.
David, Try resetting the database & then set all of your custom settings manually.
