This is probably not a good time to get on Flex's case for not fixing the transmit bug. The folks have a lot on their plate right now and need to concentrate on what is going to keep them afloat and flexible. Is there an official release of PowerSDR that prevents the SDR-1000 from transmitting? Of course not. It ain't gonna happen in the foreseeable future. From what I read, Gerald and co purchased SDR-1000 with a serial number 1 from it's original owner and plan to display it with the latest version of the software which will prove that SDR-1000 users will not be left behind.
But just remember The Radioshack TRS-80 had an expansion port that was supposed to keep it from becoming obsolete and we all know what happened to that one!
