Brian, Excuse me, but why in the world would you want to subject every user of PSDR to having to load this extra software, when only a relatively few users would actually use it. If Flex followed this same logic, then would/should Flex incorporate ddutil, vspmanager, vac, and perhaps n1mm into the standard distribution also?
Isn't it sufficient to have an actual user of this interface utilize the software it requires, and not load up psdr unnecessarily? What am I missing here? Or is this just Monday humor in a great disguise? 73, Army - AE5P -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Brian Lloyd Sent: Monday, May 16, 2011 1:37 PM To: Kirk, K6KAR Cc: [email protected]; FlexRadio reflector Subject: Re: [FlexEdge] [Flexradio] Hercules work-surface interface and FlexRadioWiki On Mon, May 16, 2011 at 11:33 AM, Kirk, K6KAR <[email protected]> wrote: > LETS HOPE NOT!!! > You are saying that you wouldn't want this functionality to be part of the standard distribution? Why not? Making it easy for people who want to use the knobs on the work surface seems pretty reasonable. That doesn't mean you must use it, only that you have the option to use it if you so desire. It seems to me that this is all about making the system as easy and flexible for as many people as possible. -- Brian Lloyd, WB6RQN/J79BPL 3191 Western Dr. Cameron Park, CA 95682 [email protected] +1.767.617.1365 (Dominica) +1.931.492.6776 (USA) (+1.931.4.WB6RQN) _______________________________________________ Flexedge mailing list [email protected] http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexedge_flex-radio.biz This is the FlexRadio Systems e-mail Reflector called FlexEdge.
