My belief when I suggested this change was that it would have universal appeal and no detractors (realizing there's no always). To make sure we are in agreement, here's the current state of affairs:
When you tune the panadapter, the waterfall doesn't move. This makes data in the waterfall from time n-1 not useful. The change is to have the waterfall slide in conjunction with the panadapter so that history is preserved below the frequency is corresponds to. I am not aware of a reason that would make this undesirable. If there is one, I'd like to hear it.
