Stu

Thank you.
So since I have hardware ports of com 1-3 it "should" assign com 4. With my
first VSP port starting at com 7, I just might get away with it.

[Tim] You will get away with it. It mostly conflicts when the VSP manager
ports are below 6. I have connected the FC to several USB controllers and I
always get assigned com4

In any case resetting the com ports is not that big of deal, yes a pain maybe,
but not serious. Besides I take screen shots of all my settings.
It makes setting up a new version a lot easier, I don't have to remember them
all.
Enjoy the day and have a great weekend.

Don,

I haven't seen the errata sheet but there are NO issues with operating the
FlexControl with either VSP Manager and/or the Eltima Serial to Ethernet bridge
- I am using both.

I believe the errata sheet provided a recommended installation procedure in
order to avoid a possible collision between the Windows hardware wizard and the
underlying drivers used by VSP Manager.

Specifically, the Windows HW Wizard will assign the first available COM port
which is not already registered to the system as a HARDWARE port, to the
FlexContol when it is first installed.
