To all VSP Manager users, Several enhancements and bug repairs have been made to VSPM.
- Bug repaired that kept the port tree from displaying available ports when an FTDI USB to Serial device was attached to the PC. These devices include, but are not limited to: Alpha 9500 amp (USB), Piexx SO2Rxlat cards, WinKeyer USB, MicroHam Router and *ANY* other products that use the FTDI USB to Serial driver to create virtual com ports on your PC. - Added user information to the port tree. If any of the virtual ports are assigned (being used) when VSPM is loaded or refreshed the using software is displayed next to the port number in the port tree. This is very helpful in determining which program has a port open. - Added a port tree Refresh button. - Upgraded Eltima drivers to latest release (v7). This fixed some troublesome Win7 driver issues on some systems. - A new wiki page has been created and tied to the VSPM Help menu. http://k5fr.com/ddutilwiki/index.php?title=VSPM Since this version uses new drivers there are *STRICT* installation procedures that must be followed to upgrade from version 1.0.1 to 1.0.3 detailed on the wiki page that must be followed. ***WARNING*** Failure to follow these steps will leave orphaned ports on the PC that will not be visible in VSPM v1.0.3 and may cause conflicts/problems. * Delete all port pairs created with VSPM v1.0.1 * Uninstall VSPM v1.0.1 * Install VSPM 1.0.3 * Create your port pairs as usual.
