Hi Howard

I have changed the settings on my NR and it is much better (TO ME anyway).
Here are my settings if you want to give them a try, I had a K3 for a few
months I liked the NR and ANF filters and these settings were very close to
how the NR and ANF sounds on the K3.
Write down your original settings if you don't like the results these
settings give you.

Click on Setup, then DSP
NR
Taps: 40
Delay: 30
Gain: 15
Leak: 10

I also changed the "ANF" settings to my liking and here is what I like on my
Radio's.
ANF
Taps: 68
Delay: 60
Gain: 25
Leak: 1

I have my "Buffer Size" set for
Phone
RX: 4096
TX: 2048

CW
RX: 4096

Digital is at the defaults of 2048

IF you have to reset your Database then you will loose these settings and
they will go back to default's so you may want to save a Database.

Don't be afraid to play with the PowerSDR settings, it is a wonderful radio
and you really can't hurt anything.

I keep a Backup Database after each change I like so I can ALWAYS step
backward to the previous Database if something goes haywire.

73's and have a good evening

Subject: [FlexEdge] I am still waiting for a working NR in my PowerSDR formy
Flex 5000

I am still waiting for a working NR in my PowerSDR for my Flex 5000.

I gave up some time ago and purchased a GAP Hear It In Line Module made by
BHI in England.

I suppose Flex moving on to making this new radio means Flex has given up on
making a working NR on the Flex 5000. The Flex 5000 must now be considered
a finished almost legacy product.

I hope the Flex 6000 owners will continue to always get free software
updates until this new unit has a working NR. Based on the Flex 5000, that
means.....probably never.

Other than the NR, the Flex 5000a has been an amazing radio.

Regards,

Howard
