1. Write my own display/control software on my PC, assuming that I have interface info and license to do it. After all, the signal processing is done in the 6000, the PC is merely control and display. As an example. I should be able to send a command to the 6000 requesting a frequency change, and a band-display table to go with that frequency.
2. If source were available, I should be able to modify the application on my PC to make changes that I require. 3. Write my own logging app...either by sending commands and receiving data via the hardware or via the supplied PC software's interface. 4. Put my contacts, call, frequency, and the like, on the web in real time! See, in real time, that you really are in the log for Broome County, NY! It would be nice, but not an an absolute requirement, if Flex were to supply basic PC interfaces to interface to their hardware. License-able, I presume. (My staff and fellow workers upon occasion accuse me of living in the Blue Sky, so these thoughts may be too simplified, and might be mere speculation! Its really pretty nice up here in the Sky!)
