The concept of digitizing a whole frequency range and then processing the data
in a following FPGA is somewhat mind boggling.

I was just wondering, with available DACs in today's market, what is the
practical upper frequency limit of the 6000 concept? 450mhz, 1200, 10Kmhz? Are
there Logic arrays that can process in the GB range?

After all, our computer processors operate In the GB range....why not a GB ADC?
I guess that you would need a lotta fast working memory too...
