I do not have the answers to your last thread..
However; my comments are as follows.
1. It is NOT a new version of PowerSDR, it is a new product named
SmartSDR tm
2. My understanding of the last Flex Insider stated
that the "Pre Orders" were being moved back to the First Qtr of 2013. Only
Beta Radios were being
delivered in the 4th Qtr of 2012.
3. A conversation I had with Gerald at Dayton indicated
that the "Wide Internet connectivity was not a part of the
first release of SmartSDR.
So they have some time to work on all the security issues.
If any of my observations are in-correct I hope someone
at Flex can reply to this thread.

As a broad follow-up to my previous question, I was wondering if anyone has
any details regarding the new version of PowerSDR. Specifically, I am
interested in the following:
1) What is the security model? Authentication, user and group management,
permissions, etc. Connecting a full-blown transceiver to an IP network is
not trivial from security perspective and requires a solid security model.
2) Is the IP stream tagged so that downstream network infrastructure can
apply Quality of Service rules and properly prioritize the IP stream?
