Rudy, The 6000-Series of radios will not use PowerSDR, but rather a new platform called SmartSDR. So, your subject line & question are a bit off target.
It has been announced that the initial release of SmartSDR will not support full remote operation in and of itself. In addition to deciding how to do the audio, etc. over Ethernet, they are still determining how the security concerns you raised will be addressed.
