Gentlemen: Ive been running my SDR-1000 for a couple years using the old,
now unsupported, USB->parallel cable.
Im having issues with intermittency. Sent my radio to FLEX and they say it
tests OK. They run the parallel cable (not USB).
Works for them ! Just not for me..
It could be a lot of things
sound card hardware, sound card software,
drivers, etc.
I had been successful running on Win 8 with late ver. Power SDR 2.3 5. Got
the USB driver working and everything
So Im starting over. Ive gone back to PowerSDR ver 1.18.6 and Windows
XP. And the original Flex USB driver..
No good.. so far.
I want to try a parallel cable.. but my modern dual core computer doesnt
have the full enchilada as regards the
Parallel port implementation. Ive tried a fully enabled parallel cable.
No enchilada !
Ive tried every choice on the setup of the parallel port
nothing. L
Question: Which PCI bus parallel port card are any of you using
successfully ? Perhaps there is even an inexpensive one ?
Where did you get it ? Tiger ? Microcenter ?
Perhaps there is a FAQ I need to read ???
